Choose from three bachelor’s and two master’s study programs. Classes are mainly practical using workshops or group projects so that students can apply the knowledge acquired during lectures and seminars.
Study options
You can study our program full-time or part-time while working. We also provide you with online support, including interactive online textbooks and courses to facilitate your self-study.
Unicorn University Open
Unicorn University Open is a conference dealing with hot topics from the world of business and information technology and is held every semester. Topics are presented by experts from leading technological companies or major banking and financial institutions.
Science and Research
Our Projects
On an ongoing basis Unicorn University supports research activities in the field of software and cloud solutions, the Internet of Things, and Big Data. We cooperate on projects with top institutions from IT, progressive Czech production companies, universities, and research institutions from all over the world.
CERN
Unicorn University is the main researcher – in cooperation with the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague, the Institute of Physics at the Czech Academy of Sciences, and other institutions – developing a cloud application for ATLAS ITk (Production Database). The database is designed to record all the detector components and their tests for the latest version of the internal ATLAS experiment. The expected completion date for this project is in 2024.
Unicorn
We are a part of Unicorn Holdings, a renowned European corporation providing vast information systems and information and communication technology solutions. Over the long term the company has focused on delivering high added value and a competitive advantage to its customers.

Vladimír Kovář
Vladimír Kovář is founder and chairman of the Unicorn board of directors. He founded the Unicorn University in 2007. Vladimir’s vision is to provide students with the knowledge and skills demanded by the market using practical learning. Students graduate with not only a degree, but comprehensive practical experience as well.
Software Everywhere
Software is all around us nowadays, involving practically all fields of human activity. Unicorn University teaches young people how to use and develop software in an efficient and modern way for use in management and for economic enterprise. We are constantly seeking new ways to use it to optimize and facilitate education as well. Not surprisingly, Unicorn University participates in the notion of “Software Everywhere”.

Cooperating with Unicorn Holdings enables Unicorn University to involve experts in the education process. Students can also do their internship within the corporation, often finding work positions from which to launch their careers.
