Jan Švehla is a student of our school who also works as a UX Designer at Unicorn. To combine one’s job with one’s studies is a great challenge, but with the university’s individualised approach to its students, it can be done. When it comes to Unicorn University, Jan really appreciates how school subjects are linked with each other how comprehensive the study materials are.
Why Unicorn University
Jan started working as a programmer during his studies at a state university. He studied programming at Unicorn Hatchery, an IT academy operating under the auspices of Unicorn Holding. Once he completed the academy, he got a job at Unicorn. Then he had to solve the problem of how to combine his job with his studies. “If I stayed at my original school, I would not be able to cope,” he says. So, he went to Unicorn University, which will let him do both as a part of his combined study.
Excellent Job Training
“Lectures are given by some of the stars of the industry and if you want to, just say the word and you can start working on real-world projects, and not just at Unicorn.” Almost four years ago, Švehla took the opportunity, becoming a UX designer. He got this job thanks to the lessons and a workshop at Unicorn University, given by Vladimír Kovář Jr. “I was really excited, so once the lessons were over, I approached Vladimír, if I could start working with his team,” he says.

"When I study for my exams, I do not need any other sources, as I can find all the necessary materials in our interactive textbooks; with everything in one place, I do not have to google anything. I only use out textbooks.”
