Forms of Study

For each of our study programs we offer several forms of study. This way you can either devote all your time to your studies and related extracurricular activities (such as visiting a foreign university or working on university projects) or combine your studies with your job. If necessary, you can change the form of your studies to better suit your current requirements and needs.

Full-time study

  • Lessons v in the Bachelor's programs take place approximately 20 - 25 hours per week in the form of lectures, seminars and practice-oriented workshops. You will experience workshops, for example, in the Management and Strategic Marketing courses.
  • For master's degree programs, teaching is structured to make it easier to combine study with work. Therefore, teaching takes place during weekdays in the evenings and partly at weekends (4 full weekends per semester). Exams often take the form of weekend workshops and hackathons.
  • As a Full-time student, you will gain practical experience working as an intern with one of our corporate partners. Our partners include, among others, Microsoft, KPMG, Unicorn, and Komerční banka (you will find the full list of our partners here).
  • We will actively support any student interested in starting their career before completing their studies.

Part-time study

We have taken the traditional combined study further. You can now conveniently combine your studies with your work obligations and study while working. You can find out how Alexander Kozlov views Unicorn University in the video.

  • For bachelor's degree programmes, the teaching takes place 4 weekends per semester. However, you can also take optional and compulsory optional courses that take place on weekdays in the evenings..
  • For Master's degree programmes, teaching is usually organised into four weekends. In some semesters of study, it may be the case that courses and seminars may also be held in the evenings. Attendance is also possible online. They are conducted in a so-called hybrid way. If the student prefers to have contact with the teacher, he/she can come to school, but if other commitments do not allow it, he/she joins online.
  • There are also teaching videos available for the courses, which the student can watch at any time according to his/her time preferences.
  • It is possible to have your employment recognised as compulsory work experience if it relates to the programme you are studying.

Online study

Are you interested in IT or Business, but have no time to travel to Prague to study? How about choosing a fully online study program? With distance learning you can study from the comfort of your home or from the office. For now, this form of study is offered only for study in the Czech language.

  • All teacher communication is also online through our internal system.
  • Our interactive online study materials will also be available for you.
  • School learning takes place through self-study and by online consulting with a teacher. Most lectures are recorded and are also available online.
  • It is also possible to implement the compulsory Internship online, and if your job has the same field of IT as your studies it can be recognized as an internship.

Unique Study Materials

Study support for all Unicorn University subjects is provided by way of interactive online courses and publications. This makes preparation for your examinations and ongoing tests much easier. All courses and publications are interactive and available on any device. In this way, when you wish to study, you only need your mobile phone rather than any written lecture notes.

The books contain solved examples along with explanations. They are interactive and are linked to online courses where you can review the material. Our courses will help you recall lessons learned from books and publications with the use of special flash cards and self-testing exercises.
