CAE is targeted at C1 level, though it provides assessment at C2 and B2 levels as well. Our CAE course is offered at C1 level, with the possibility of going higher, depending on the language aspirations of the students. At the CAE exam at the end of the course, the students are expected to show an extensive and profound knowledge of English vocabulary, including also an advanced knowledge of English idioms, and different ways of word formation. The knowledge of grammar structures required for this exam is higher than those offered at the FCE course. The use of specific cases of seemingly well known categories (tenses, moods, inversion etc.) is going to be investigated and practised. Speaking skills presuppose a high level of fluency with the use of rich syntactical structures and vocabulary. Reading and listening skills demand a high speed of finding relevant information in texts and audio files, close to that of a native speaker. Therefore, most study materials include examination papers offered at real CAE exams.
