The course aims at acquainting students with commonly used terms from financial markets and essentials of dealing in the financial markets. The course includes practical examples of trades in various markets. Students perform some trades themselves, watch investment strategies and evaluate them (by means of a discussion). Students learn characteristics of various types of assets (stock, bonds, futures, certificates, currencies) and understand how to trade them, and their role in the financial system.
