4 min. | 21. 1. 2025

The first workshop of the Automotive Computing for Mobility Innovation (ACMI) project took place on January 20-21, 2025, in Žilina.

On January 20 and 21, 2025, the first workshop of the ACMI - Automotive Computing for Mobility Innovation project, funded under the Erasmus+ program (Erasmus Mundus Design Measures project, project number 101180066), took place at the University of Žilina. This project focuses on the development of a joint master's degree program in Automotive Computing in cooperation with five universities from four European countries: Škoda Auto University and Unicorn University (Czech Republic), University of Žilina (Slovakia), Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and Transilvania University of Brasov (Romania). The project focuses on the development of the content, structure, and policy of the joint study program, procedural and administrative procedures, and model agreements that will support the subsequent intention of a joint Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters study program.

The workshop was attended by representatives of all five participating universities, and topics such as the policy for awarding a joint diploma, a joint promotion and information strategy, and a joint program and integrated activities in the field of teaching and professional training were discussed. All this was done to ensure that the planned master's program not only meets the requirements for accreditation at the national level, but also meets the quality assurance standards for joint programs in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

At the end of the workshop, university representatives took part in a tour of the KIA car factory in Žilina.
