What is Středoškolka?

High School Frisbee League, known as High School Frisbee, is an interscholastic competition played by mixed amateur teams of students in a five-on-five format. This league is organized by the Czech Association of Ultimate Frisbee (CAU Frisbee) and its concept is based on several one-day tournaments during the school year.
Thanks to the open format, any high school in the Czech Republic can join the competition, or even teams from upper elementary schools. The aim of the league is not only to promote healthy exercise and teamwork, but also to develop friendly relations between students from different schools and regions.

How does it work?

The high school frisbee league consists of two main qualifying rounds - fall and spring. During each of these rounds, several tournaments are held in various locations across the country.

School teams have the opportunity to participate in as many of these qualifying rounds as they wish, but no more than the top two scores from the fall round and the top two scores from the spring round count towards the overall standings.

The autumn qualifying round takes place in October, while the spring qualifying round takes place in April. The top sixteen school teams from across the country then qualify for the season-ending finals based on their qualifying scores.

The finals are the culmination of the competition, where teams compete for the title of overall High School League champion. It is always scheduled for the end of the school year, specifically in June.

The tournaments have a one-day format and are played on weekdays, usually from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. This format allows for as many school teams as possible to participate in the tournament without disrupting regular instruction.
